Wired has an article called "Vinyl May Be Final Nail in CD's Coffin", in which they claim that vinyl discs are and will always be better than CDs. Although I am a great fan of vinyl discs, I sometimes wonder who ever writes such articles. It basically says that a good recording well mixed on vinyl sounds better than a crappy record badly mixed on a CD. Doh...

These audiophiles... I always like it when they put in scientific sounding bits like citing "Nyquist's theorem" which allegedly is able to distort the true reproduction of sound. And on the other hand, they claim that a LP just sounds "warmer" than the true, dull, boring exact sound that a digital medium would provide.
It just boils down to simple psychology: You need some justification to make spending EUR 20'000 look at least a little like a sensible investment.
